About Czarina: Previous to coming to UC Davis for her doctorate in epidemiology, Czarina was involved in insect ecology research at the University of San Diego. Currently, she is the TA for Dr. John Troidl’s online graduate course “Introduction to Public Health” and for the on-campus undergraduate course “Perspectives in Community Health.” She is also currently working at the California Department of Public Health- Office of AIDS as a graduate student researcher for the state’s satellite syringe exchange program. Her special interests are in vector borne diseases, infectious diseases, disparities in health, minority health in California, and international health issues.
