About Caroline: Carrie first became interested in pursuing Public Health after working as a Farmers Market Manager, a position that supported community education concerning food, nutrition, and the sustainability of California agriculture, and worked to identify and lessen the impact of food deserts. After taking time off to travel, she took a position as the Fitness & Wellness Program Coordinator for a nonprofit dedicated to sports and recreation for individuals with physical disabilities. She hopes to use her MPH to explore solutions to malnutrition and common barriers associated with healthy food access and physical activity, and the intersection of food systems and community health.
