About Sangi: Sangi became interested in public health through coursework in infectious disease and genetics, but she is also interested in environmental contaminants that affect health. Through Students for Community Outreach, Promotion and Education (SCOPE), she volunteered at the Venice Family Clinic in Santa Monica, helping patients with social and medical resources available in their communities and also helped teach nutrition to fifth graders. Sangi enjoys working with children and is currently interested in maternal and child health. She hopes to learn about risk factors for health issues affecting these groups and how to prevent and treat them.
