Jason Spitzer Degree: BS, Agricultural and Managerial Economics, UC Davis (2001) Area of Emphasis: General Public Health Practicum: Street Outreach program to increase sexual health education and rapid HIV testing among homless and marginalized youth, UCDMC Pediatrics About Jason: Jason became interested in Public Health through his positions as an HIV Case Manager for a local non-profit agency and as an Outreach Specialist at the Yolo County Health Department where he has worked for the past three and a half years. His focus at the Health Department is on education, prevention, testing, outreach and community planning in the areas of HIV/AIDS, other sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) and hepatitis C for high risk populations. He hopes to take his background in health education and expand to other aspects of Public Health, including epidemiology and health services management.
