About Hong: Hong practiced medicine for 14 years as an internist in China. She is currently a PhD student of Epidemiology in UC Davis. Her public health interests are in the field of International Public Health in Asia associated with HIV/TB. She has two articles related to TB topic published. She also is a contributing author to the chapter on “Female and HIV” in the book “The Basic and Clinic Medicine of AIDS,” published in July 2004, China. In 1997, Hong received Talent Training Program sponsored by the Wuhan Public Health Bureau, which aims to train future generation leaders of public health in China.
