Mandy Li Degree: BS, Human Development, BA, Psychology, UC Davis (2008) Area of Emphasis: Nutrition, Epidemiology Practicum: TBD About Mandy: Qiao Ming interned in the Office of the Surgeon General under the Acting Director of Science and Communications. One of her main projects involved organizing events in Florida and California to engage the Latino media in promoting childhood obesity prevention. The other project centered on the Surgeon General's Healthy Youth for a Healthy Future nationwide tour to recognize communities that have made outstanding progress in helping the youth of their region make healthier choices. In the future, Qiao Ming hopes to work with under resourced communities to decrease health disparities and improve health literacy.
