About Anne: Upon graduation from the University of Washington, Anne followed professional opportunities to Alaska where she worked as a fisheries field biologist and later managed a rural reproductive health clinic. During her work she observed firsthand how local politics and culture are closely tied to environmental resource issues that indirectly affect human health in communities. Anne believes that nutritional and health challenges of underserved populations can be addressed by effective data collection, program design and educational outreach. Her long-term goals include utilizing quantitative data to develop Public Health programs, influence policy, and working with diverse populations to effect positive health outcomes.
